So we’re finally approaching that glorious time of the year. When the warm weather shines brightly upon the Columbia River Gorge. Where the forests start to wake up and the mountains start to sing. There can be a lot said about summertime in the Gorge, but we prefer that you get out here for yourself to experience it firsthand.
How you decide to spend your summer is the true indication of how enjoyable the next few months will be. Spending at those valuable minutes at Carson Hot Springs Resort is time never wasted. With so much to see and do, you’ll have a hard time choosing what to do first.
Those looking for some pointers, here are our favorite activities this summer:
Since Carson Hot Springs Resort is tucked away into the forest, it’s no mystery that guests are looking to roam the surrounding area. Beautiful views and rewarding hikes await those eager enough to put on their shoes and start trekking. Some of the country’s best hiking trails call the Columbia River Gorge home, so it’d be a shame if you didn’t check them out.
If we’re being honest, we think that TLC may have been a little off. At Carson Hot Springs Resort, we encourage all of our guests to go chasing waterfalls. The Gorge is host to some of the most picturesque falls in the US and it’s worth your while to see as many as you can. From Multnomah Falls to Wahkeena Falls, there’s plenty to marvel at.
Imagine being able to wake up at your resort, get out of bed and walk to a golf course. That’s exactly what you can do at Carson Hot Springs Resort. Our golf course, Elk Ridge Golf Course, is ready for you to tee it up and hit the links. We’re consistently rated in the top 15 courses in Washington on golfadvisor.com. We’ve even been named “The best NW course you’ve probably never heard of.” So what’re you waiting for?
If you work up an appetite from the gorgeous hikes or fun round of golf, you’re probably looking for some local flavor. Our restaurant, the Elk Ridge Grill, is cooking up some delectable bites for all to enjoy. Customer favorites include Ground Brisket and Short Rib Burger and Prime Rib sliders just to name a couple. Our chef is taking local ingredients, classic flavors, and putting a modern twist on each dish.
While we’re fairly biased, we think a spa day at Carson Hot Springs is the perfect way to spend summertime. After all, isn’t summer all about rejuvenation and relaxing? What’s more rejuvenating than a mineral soak and what’s more relaxing than a full-body massage? When you think about it, almost every activity you might want to do during summer can be done at Carson.
